Tip of the month! August: Copy and paste objects

There are always some objects you just wish to use frequently or even work on multiple plans at once with. With Palette CAD 8 it is now much easier to use objects from one design and import them into another. Just copy it to the clipboard, open another plan and paste it. It means, you no longer necessarily need to have the object permanently saved in your catalogues or keep searching for an object you used months ago, as was the case in version 7.

First, simply select the desired object. Then go to the "Tools" tab and select "Copy object".

Now switch over to the other plan, go to “Tools” again and select "Insert Object". You can now position and use the object as normal.

For an extra tip on top of the tip you can also use the Windows shortcuts to copy and paste objects:
Control+C = Copy
Control+V=Paste
Control+X=Cut

Well that's how for now, have fun with it people!
